Celebrating 10 year anniversary of company
Chesapeake Environmental Equipment, a company co-founded by Nathan Leyburn ’01 and his two business partners is turning ten years old in October. Started in October 2013, his company specializes in the sale of water and wastewater equipment as a manufacturer’s representative company. They represent dozens of manufacturers from pumps, odor control systems, air release valves, ultra-violet systems to large pre-cast post-tensioned concrete tanks. Their focus is in the Mid-Atlantic area primarily in the states of Maryland, Pennsylvania, Delaware, Washington D.C. and Virginia. Nathan Leyburn began his career in the construction management industry in Baltimore with Whiting-Turner Contracting Company in Baltimore. He finished as a mid-level Project Manager after 11 years. He then accepted a similar position as a Project Manager for a smaller construction firm, Johnston Construction for the for the next 2 years. In his construction career, Nathan was always involved with water, wastewater and industrial wastewater treatment facility upgrades. It was a seamless transition from being a contractor who used to purchase equipment to someone who is selling the same type of equipment. Congratulations on this achievement!
