40 Under 40: Mary Padasak of General Mills
Selected as one of Buffalo’s 40 professionals under 40 years old who excels both in their career and also in their community involvement.
Community involvement: Committee member, Cystic Fibrosis Foundation Great Strides Walk; Springville Kiwanis; Air and Waste Management Association Niagara Frontier Section board; Air and Waste Management’s Envirun 5k Race director; Green Springville and Cub Scout Pack 59 volunteer; Springville Field and Stream; singer, St. Aloyisius Parish; Village of Springville trustee; New York Water Environment Association Western Chapter; Erie County Democratic Committee
Proudest professional accomplishment: Working at General Mills, closing regulatory gaps in the Environmental program, while successfully running for a trustee position in the Village of Springville. I was able to balance two very demanding roles and successfully execute both jobs.
Professional goal in next five years: Earn a safety and health specialist certificate for OSHA compliance in general industry, working toward becoming a health, safety and environment director.
