Halstead’s book, Kubrick’s 2001: A Space Odyssey is an analytical essay on Kubrick’s science fiction classic. The 2nd edition includes more information than the first with additional illustrations and an exclusive interview with the film’s special effects supervisor, Douglas Trumbull. This is the first music album, Music for the Dark Parlor contains six pieces of ambient, electronic music performed by his group, Sun’s Muse. Both creative projects were produced and published by Halstead’s company, Leonine Productions, LLC. Leonine Productions was established in 1975 as in independent film production house and later branched out to book production and publishing and music recording and publishing.
