Leary joins CPH Urgent Care Team
POTSDAM, NY – Certified Physician Assistant (PA-C) Pamela Leary has joined the medical staff of Canton-Potsdam Hospital’s (CPH) Urgent Care offices in Potsdam and Canton. They are located at the Helen Snell Cheel Medical Center, 49 Lawrence Avenue, Potsdam; and EJ Noble Professional Building, 80 East Main Street, Canton.
Ms. Leary is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants, and earned her Master of Science in Physician Assistance Studies degree from Clarkson University, Potsdam. She is also certified through the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians.
Ms. Leary comes to CPH with five years of Emergency Medicine/Urgent Care experience, most of which she obtained at Massena Memorial Hospital, and 27 years of military experience in Primary and Urgent healthcare.
“I moved to the North Country 30 years ago and instantly fell in love with the area and its people,” Ms. Leary said. “I am looking forward to giving back to the community that has given me so many opportunities over the years.”
She is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants, and is a member of the New York Army National Guard.
As a Physician Assistant, Ms. Leary conducts physical examinations, diagnoses illnesses, prescribes medications, orders and interprets diagnostic tests, and performs suturing and castings.
