4,000 hours in the F-16
LTC Kevin Jens surpassed 4000 F-16 hours on July 8, 2022. As the F-16 Director of Advanced Tactics development for the Air Force’s Air Combat Command at Nellis AFB, NV since 2009, he is just one of only 52 US Air Force F-16 pilots to achieve the 4,000 hour mark.
A member of the Air Force Reserves since 2001, he was part of the initial cadet cadre for Clarkson’s USAF ROTC program, which was started in 1982 and was commissioned as part of CU’s Class of 1986 (ME). Previously to his membership in the Reserves, he served on active duty from 1987 until 2001, piloting the A-10 before transitioning to the F-16.
