46 Inspiring Connecticut STEM Leaders Selected as 2025 Women of Innovation Finalists

Clarkson alumna Tanya M. Henneghan ’95 continues to make a meaningful impact in STEM and her local community. Tanya was recently selected as a finalist for the Community Innovation and Leadership category in the Connecticut Technology Council’s 20th Annual Women of Innovation® Awards, which recognize accomplished leaders driving scientific advancement and business growth across Connecticut.
In addition, Tanya will be honored in 2026 with induction as a life member of the National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE), a global organization dedicated to advancing and empowering students and professionals in engineering and technology. A former Clarkson NSBE member, Tanya has remained deeply engaged with the organization through student mentorship and presentations with Clarkson University’s NSBE Chapter.
Currently serving as Director of IT Administration at Southern Connecticut State University, Tanya exemplifies Clarkson’s spirit of leadership, mentorship, and innovation in action. Congratulations, Tanya!
