Tony,
Thank you for making the Clarkson family what it is, your and Karen’s commitment to the students, fostering a fantastic community for all involved, and for creating a culture that changed the lives of so many. Choosing Clarkson was the best decision I’ve ever made, and my memories from my time there will likely carry on for generations thanks to the quality of friendships that were developed there. The accolades for the school speak for themselves on the quality of academics, but one of the most unique things about Clarkson was your involvement with student’s activities, inviting us to your house on multiple occasions, and leading by example in so many ways.
Best wishes for a life in retirement filled with happiness and love!
Best wishes,
Bri

Hi Tony and Karen,
Congrats on your retirement and I am sure you are looking forward to new adventures ahead!
When I was getting ready to retire 5 years ago, a good friend from the Red Cross shared some sage advice. He said,” when you are retired you had better know BEFORE you go to bed what you are going to do the next day, or else you will find yourself walking in circles.” It took a few years for that to sink in and then I realized exactly what he meant. So, if you two find yourself walking in circles someday, please know the door is always open in Prescott, AZ (home of the deer, antelope, and AL’s collection of Elk!). When it’s snowy and dreary in PA, go “West” young man (and woman), and we will show you a good time.
All the best to you both!
Linda

Thank you for your avid support of the Air Force ROTC at Clarkson. As a Cadet it was always inspiring to see how much you supported the Cadet Corps and each student. Det 536 was lucky to have you leading Clarkson.

I will never forget going to a dinner after our club (the now disbanded Model UN) had a showing of COCO. I had a great time (even though I showed up late). I do think that that lead us to create our film club! The picture is of Film Club at the Club Fair during our first year back in person after COVID. Hope you guys have a good rest of your guy’s times on our wonderful planet! I will miss Clarkson a great deal. I feel bad for those who will miss out on your wonderful Presidency!

Tony and Karen, I hope you have a long and wonderful retirement. You were so thoughtful and kind to my Uncle Donald Armstrong at alumni gatherings. Also at all those basketball games with our daughters. All the best, Karen Edwards

Your leadership has brought Clarkson to a new level of excellence, much like the post WW II years expansion of the institution. You have been welcoming to all associated with Clarkson and the local community.
You leave a very large set of shoes for the incoming President to fill!
Best wishes to you and Karen as you enter a new phase of your life.

Tony & Karen Collins, I just want to thank you for going above and beyond to lead and represent Clarkson for the last 40 or so years, and especially for the last 3 years through the pandemic. It has always been clear to me that you care about the student body as a whole and about every student individually, something which I don’t think is common with the leadership of many of Clarkson’s peer universities. I have heard many stories that detail special, fun, and kind interactions with students and alumni. I also have personally found that you are genuinely interested in people and the work they do and what they have to say. I have heard these stories even back to the 90s, when my parents attended Clarkson! Thank you both for being an important part of our Clarkson community. You will be missed!
