Establishing Naval Simulation Museum at Sands Point, NY
Hank is working with the Sands Point Preserve Conservancy on Long Island, New York to establish a Naval Simulation Museum dedicated to the years that the Navy was at the Long Island location from the years 1946-1967. The museum will include historical documents, a virtual gallery of simulations, and the leaders who had significant impacts on simulation technology and will describe the growth of simulation technology and its expanding industry. The museum will also include virtual simulators for students to experience flight and will have STEM features to interest our youth in careers in aerospace and simulation. Seeking donations of vintage simulator technologies and an aircraft simulator cockpit for student play.
