I hope you and your family are prepared for -40 deg F. winters!
Back in my freshman year (’64-’65) we had to walk from the dorms on the hill down, across the Raquette River into town where the college classrooms were located! If you could survive that you were tough enough to graduate. Today fortunately with the main campus located with the dorms up on the hill, it is so much more civilized. 🙂 Being close to the Adirondacks and a short trip to Canada and Montreal make living there quite pleasant. I returned for my MS in ’69 and my wife and I enjoyed living in downtown Potsdam and traveling to those locations often.
